This series illustrates our tendency to reduce individuals to a mere tidbit of gossip.

 

I created this collection by pairing images of 285 high school seniors from a 1970 yearbook from rural New Jersey with text clippings from a self-help book that was published in the 1950s.

Starting June 21, 2021, I will be posting two collages from this collection on Instagram, every day, for 20 weeks.
